Job Duties
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Technical degree or diploma from an accredited institution
- Must have at least three (3) years’ experience in industry
- In-depth knowledge of electronics, variable frequency drives, mechanical maintenance, electrical motor controls, hydraulic systems, pneumatics, PLC (RSLogix), instrumentation, predictive and preventative maintenance, and industrial robotics
- Possess the communication skills necessary to be an effective instructor
- Show evidence of good character, organizational skills, and a mature attitude
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions
- Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with students, the public, industry partners, and other faculty and staff
- Skilled in managing deadlines and working in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to utilizing technology in the teaching/learning experience and willingness to stay up- to- date in developing instructional technologies
- Five years of work experience in the industrial maintenance profession.
- Knowledge of digital textbooks and digital learning resource platforms.
- Provide instruction to students in all phases of the Industrial Maintenance Integrated Automation Technology program curriculum
- Monitor, grade, and evaluate individual students' progress, maintain student records in the college's student records management software, maintain appropriate documentation, and submit timely reports
- Maintain good public relations with related industries and an active program advisory committee
- Collaborate with outside agencies and industry to establish work-based education experiences for students
- Collaborate with K-12 education partners to establish dual enrollment to full-time enrollment pathways as needed
- Other duties include curriculum development, program accreditation, daily lesson planning, student recruitment and placement, follow-up of program graduates, participation in professional development activities, and student organizations
