Job Summary
The successful candidate will provide quality instruction for student learning and maintain a positive learning environment in the classroom / lab, with a significant emphasis on teaching and evaluating students in the classroom.
Job Duties
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Technical degree or diploma from an accredited institution
- Must have at least three (3) years' experience in industry
- In-depth knowledge of electronics, variable frequency drives, mechanical maintenance, electrical motor controls, hydraulic systems, pneumatics, PLC (RSLogix), instrumentation, predictive and preventative maintenance, and industrial robotics
- Possess the communication skills necessary to be an effective instructor
- Show evidence of good character, organizational skills, and a mature attitude
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions
- Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with students, the public, industry partners, and other faculty and staff
- Skilled in managing deadlines and working in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to utilizing technology in the teaching / learning experience and willingness to stay up- to- date in developing instructional technologies
