What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Clerk position at TCB Self Storage Inc?
TCB Self Storage is a family-owned storage unit rental business that includes the rental of Uhaul trucks, trailers, and auto transports. We are looking for an experienced Office Clerk that can work any hours between 8am to 5pm on weekdays and fully available for rotational shifts on Saturday 9am-2pm. The successful hire must be a self-starter and can directed by corporate managers off-stie. This position requires outside work as well like clean units, haul trash, outside & inside decorations for holidays, move uhaul trucks, apply household poisons to units, and other outside duties as requested by owner and corporate managers.
The successful hired applicant will have excellent computer knowledge including: use of Word and Excel; knowledge of scanning docs to email; upload pics; printer knowledge; find information quickly on internet. Familiarity of computer and ease of computer use is required as the rental and uhaul softwares are internet based.
Reading and writing skills are required and at least conversational Spanish is preferred to help with Spanish speaking customers. Read and write English is required. Operable mobile phone is needed to take pics of uhaul hookups and upload them to uhaul website.
A mature hire is desired as we are a professional office and treat all calls and walk-up customers with business professionalism. The successful applicant should be able to work outside to check-in and out uhaul trucks and trailers. The ability to at least lift 65 pounds is necessary to hookup the larger trailers to customers' vehicle ball-hitch.
Admin duties include collection calls, cashier duties, generate reports, communicate with corporate office, on-site manager and owner. Professional pleasant and projected voice is needed for phone calls and all verbal communication with customers and staff. Light housekeeping of lobby office and restroom is required.
