Job Description
- Oversee Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes to ensure timely, accurate transaction processing.
- Resolve escalated customer and vendor inquiries, including payment disputes and credit issues, beyond the scope of junior bookkeepers.
- Maintain the general ledger, reconcile accounts, and support month-end closings to ensure financial integrity.
- Master the company's financial system, identifying discrepancies and driving operational improvements.
- Build and refine financial reports to support management decision-making.
- Train and mentor AP and AR Bookkeepers, fostering a high-performing, detail-oriented team.
- Assist with HR tasks (e.g., onboarding, offboarding, record-keeping) as needed-experience in this area is a plus.
Qualifications
- 5 years of bookkeeping experience, with at least 2 years managing or supervising staff.
- Proven ability to enforce procedures and maintain accuracy in a team setting.
- Proficiency in any ERP system or accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite).
- Strong problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel or similar spreadsheet tools.
- Accounting training, certificate, or degree is a plus but not required.
