Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company's accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. This role requires a solid understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in accounting software. The accounts payable specialist will report to the financial manager. The position is in person.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable transactions, including vendor invoices and payment requests.
• Perform journal entries and maintain accurate records in the general ledger.
• Conduct general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
• Work as a team member to support the efficiency of our supply chain and meet customer demand as well as organizational goals
• Utilize accounting software to ensure efficient processing.
• Maintain organized documentation for all accounts payable activities.
• Assists in controlling costs with attention to detail and expense tracking
• Ensure timely payments
• Build and maintain relationships with supplliers and vendors

Skills

• Proficient in 10 key typing for efficient data entry.
• Strong knowledge of journal entries and general ledger reconciliation.
• Familiarity with public accounting practices is advantageous.
• Ability to analyze financial information effectively.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Proficient in using accounting software
