What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Project Manager position at TCI Transportation?

The Project Manager role requires expertise in dedicated logistics within the trucking industry, with strong communication and project management skills. The ideal candidate ensures deadlines are met and tasks are completed efficiently. They lead team meetings and discussions to ensure seamless transition and onboarding of new dedicated operations. Additionally, they troubleshoot issues and collaborate with other departments to resolve issues.
Responsibilities include developing SOPs, outlining manual data entry requirements in McLeod, and creating SOPs for daily data reconciliation. The Project Manager will also work with IT to establish data extraction processes for the Billing Team’s weekly invoices.
This position will report to the Director of Projects and will support our business development effort.
Essential Duties Include :
- Travel requirement- up to 50% depending on business needs.
- Trained in all TCI systems and operate at a superuser level.
McLeod
Trained in all Driver Manager job responsibilities. All Operating systems, Recruiting, Dispatch functions, Invoicing, Payroll, Safety, Maintenance and P&L responsibility
Staying committed to startup sites for at least 30-60 days and completing all task.
Make sure 5-week training plan is completed and executed.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience needed :
To be successful in this position you will be a quick learner, self-driven, disciplined, and thoughtful, natural with follow-up and follow-through, detail-oriented and being outside the office 50% of the time, traveling to all TCI locations. Most importantly you will have a genuine interest in project management and training.
The ideal candidate for this position must be able to stay organized, multi-task and effectively manage their time. We are looking for an individual that is ambitious, eager to learn and willing to work hard, not only toward their own career development but also the development of the TCI team.
Compensation :
Starting $75k, based on experience.
