Position Summary:
The Demand Planning Manager will oversee the demand planning and forecasting processes for Home Theater products and Emerging Categories. This role will involve developing, maintaining, and monitoring demand plans, while tracking variances and trends to ensure forecast accuracy. The Demand Planning Manager will collaborate closely with the Sales and Supply Chain teams to identify forecast changes, address issues, and understand their impact on the supply chain.
In this role, the manager will lead cross-functional teams to drive consensus in forecasting by evaluating key variables such as product lifecycle, demand patterns, and market trends. Additionally, this position will focus on improving forecasting processes, implementing key reporting systems, and continuously optimizing operations across departments.
Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Demand Forecasting & Planning: Manage the demand planning and forecasting for Home Theater and Emerging Categories, ensuring forecasts are accurate and aligned with business goals.
- Sales & Inventory Monitoring: Conduct weekly and daily sales forecasts, monitor inventory levels, and track market conditions to identify changes that impact demand planning.
- Retailer Collaboration: Lead CPFR (Collaborative Planning, Forecasting, and Replenishment) calls with major retailers to discuss inventory, demand shifts, and sales performance.
- Account-Specific Planning: Create and maintain a rolling sell-in plan by major accounts, adjusting as needed based on market changes and account performance.
- Forecast & Reporting: Prepare and present regular forecast updates and variance reports to key stakeholders, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Lead weekly meetings with Sales, Supply Chain, and Order Management teams to discuss forecasts, inventory levels, and action items.
- Strategic Business Planning: Assist the Director of Business Planning and VP of Sales in developing short- and long-term strategic plans, including preparing annual business plans, budgets, and market forecasts.
- Process Improvement: Implement and maintain systems that ensure strong follow-up and management of action items, ensuring timely resolution of issues and questions.
- Continuous Improvement: Develop new reporting systems and tools to drive operational improvements and enhance decision-making processes across the organization.
- Documentation & Process Mapping: Document and update business processes, roles, and responsibilities, ensuring clarity and efficiency through process mapping.
Qualification/Requirements:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field, with at least 5 years of experience in demand planning or forecasting. Experience in Home Theater or Emerging Categories is highly preferred.
- Analytical Expertise: Strong analytical skills with experience working with large volumes of data to extract actionable insights and inform forecasting decisions.
- Technology Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), with experience in demand planning tools and ERP systems. Familiarity with business intelligence platforms is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with all levels of the organization, from front-line teams to senior leadership.
- Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
- Collaboration & Teamwork: Proven ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with teams across departments to achieve business objectives.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
