Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Account Development Manager to join our team. This role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with customers while managing accounts effectively. The ideal candidate will spend 30–40% of their time managing and maximizing existing accounts and 60–70% seeking new business opportunities within the DFW Metroplex.
Key Responsibilities
- Account Management:
- Manage and maintain customer accounts, ensuring all PM schedules are established, tracked, and up to date as needed.
- Monitor pending repairs and ensure timely follow-up to maximize shop efficiency.
- Conduct regular account reviews and ensure fleet data accuracy, onboarding new units, and deactivating outdated ones.
- Build rapport with fleet managers to maintain an accurate list of active units.
- Ensure all customer vehicles are maintained to a high standard, coordinating clean-ups quarterly, bi-annually, or annually as needed.
- Maintain customer fleet health at 100% current.
- Customer Onboarding
- Follow up on all leads that are generated by phone calls, sourced from an outside sales rep, or any other lead that is found.
- Contact the customer lead and complete a customer onboarding questionnaire.
- Gather detailed customer information, including fleet size, maintenance needs, and warranty status.
- Collaborate with the shop team to onboard and integrate new accounts effectively.
- Sales Efforts:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, focusing on fleets with 3–50 trucks/trailers - out-of-warranty, company owned assets.
- Vet potential customers to ensure alignment with the company’s ideal customer profile.
- Customer Interaction:
- Establish strong customer relationships through regular communication and on-site visits.
- Be available outside of regular business hours for urgent customer needs, while maintaining healthy boundaries.
- Work in coordination with our service departments to communicate with the customer, schedule as needed, follow-up on account issues.
- Market Awareness:
- Stay informed about market trends and their implications for customer accounts.
- Function as a liaison between the customer and the service department to provide tailored solutions.
- Attending industry events locally and or regionally
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; highly sociable and approachable.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple accounts effectively.
- Mildly assertive with a proactive approach to problem-solving and relationship management.
- Comfortable working independently and taking responsibility for customer satisfaction.
- Basic IT skills to track, monitor, and maintain customer data.
- Previous experience in sales, account management, or the trucking industry is a plus.
Territory
- Focused on the immediate Fort Worth/DFW Metro Area. As leads progress beyond, willingness to travel if needed.

- Competitive based salary commission-based structure:
