We are looking for a Defense Business Development (BD) Director in support of cybersecurity growth opportunities in Navy. Significant experience in Air Force or Army is considered a plus. TDI is a Cybersecurity Small Business providing services and solutions in the government contracting space. We have multi-year contracts and acquisition vehicles already in place. We are an industry leader in Cybersecurity Performance Management (CPM), Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) and Cyber Engineering and Operations (E&O) with our Cybersecurity product, CnSight®. The BD Director will be part of TDI’s leadership team and will have a seat at the table regarding company vision, growth strategy, and planning.
The primary focus of this position is new business opportunity identification and qualification. Participation may continue through capture and win of strategic bids. A successful candidate will have a demonstrated record of building and maintaining a pipeline of growth opportunities, selling and winning in Small Business (without economic set asides) and full and open competitions, and increasing company revenue through new leads and exiting account expansion.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead business development to identify, qualify and win new strategic opportunities resulting in revenue growth
- Build and maintain a robust qualified pipeline of opportunities aligning with TDI’s strategic cybersecurity growth vision and customer account plans
- Engage customers in identifying and shaping potential opportunities using knowledge of company capabilities, customer relationships, contract vehicles/acquisition strategy and past performance
- Identify and execute strategic win themes. Acquire competitive intelligence and participate in developing winning technical solutions
- Be results driven, participating in all aspects of a complete capture process that results in the award of programs
- Work well in a highly productive, highly accountable, small team environment
- Understand and utilize TDI services and products, strategic partnerships, vehicles and past performances
- Bachelor’s degree and 6 years business development experience (will accept 4 years additional work experience in lieu of degree)
- Experience identifying and shaping relevant technical opportunities in cybersecurity services and solutions
- Proven record of successfully shaping technical opportunities and building customer relationships within Navy. Air Force and Army relationships are considered a plus
- Proven record of relevant new business wins and ability to land and expand. Prefer portfolio of submittals and awards that include experience in all types of government contracts (FFP, T&M, Cost Plus) and Small Business (without economic set asides) and full and open competitions
- Established and extensive customer relationships with a variety of government agencies in the cybersecurity sectors of the Navy. Air Force and Army relationships are considered a plus
- Highly effective interpersonal skills working with and presenting to customers, company technical leaders, business executives and industry partners/teammates
- Understanding of the full business development lifecycle and ability to pursue multiple opportunities concurrently
- Proven ability to form and maintain strategic industry partnerships with large and small businesses in the federal market
- Proven track record of successfully winning new business contracts and vehicles such as IDIQs/GWACs/BPAs
- Cybersecurity knowledge
- Navy customer relationships
- Established customer and partner contacts for building business
- Secret security clearance or ability to get one
