Job Overview
TE's HR Business Partners implement Human Resources policies at the business unit level partnering with management to drive company-wide programs and initiatives (i.e. succession, talent acquisition, total rewards and change management). They foster partnership across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives, strategies and policies of the organization.
The Director HR Business Partner for Sensor Technology Business Unit (TES) serves as the Business partner for the assigned client group, providing strategical partnering, leadership, and counsel for the leadership team and organization. With a deep understanding of the business targets, you will be able to translate global and regional Business strategies into people goals and drive the execution in close partnership with the broader HR team.
Accountable for HR partnership with Global Operations & Quality functions, while serving as a regional lead for all of EMEA based TES employees. The HR Business Partner will focus on partnering with and developing business leaders and their teams to enable them to implement programs and processes which will create culture transformation, talent engagement, and organization effectiveness.
The HR Business Partner will also provide advice and counsel on complex HR issues such as organization design and review, change management initiatives, strategical workforce planning, and day-to-day guidance and support to management regarding HR practices and policies, working closely with our HR partners and COE’s to drive consistency and execution into the regions (Americas, EMEA, APAC).

Responsibilities
- Advocate for and identify creative solutions for Operations personnel without access to email within topics of engagement, business processes, communications, and bubbling information up. Use global mindset while creating creative solutions for organizational design, engagement, communications and operator access to information.
- Provide leadership, counsel, and support to the assigned client group for key business initiatives and business-related matters and processes.
- Drive and lead HR processes and initiatives like organization design, workforce planning, organization development, and organizational effectiveness within the business, in close partnership with the HR partners and CEOs, whilst fostering a One HR mentality.
- Lead change management programs and facilitate organizational change by supporting business leaders to develop plans in line with business strategy.
- Lead and collaborate on employee relations issues to ensure legal compliance and maintain a respectful working environment for the client group.
- Coach and develop managers and key talents, drive development initiatives, and succession planning to ensure longer-term success.
- Consult and coach business leaders on organizational change management and employee issues.
- Champion employee engagement through effective communication, programs, and alignment to development and growth opportunities.
- Facilitate and drive key talent development plans to strengthen the talent pipeline for all critical positions including stretched assignments, coaching or mentoring programs, professional & leadership training to retain and develop talent
- Act as a coach and be a facilitator when needed.
- Experience in a manufacturing and or operations environment is mandatory, with experience in a true HR business partner role
- Advanced knowledge of international labor laws and obligations. Used to leverage this knowledge to advise management, especially in conflict situations.
- Strong experience in interacting with works councils and Unions
- Strong project management and ability to build processes
- European HR Business Partner experience strongly preferred; global expertise appreciated
- Ability to influence, lead and drive execution
- Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced, international matrix organization.
- Ability to travel up to 25-30% depending on location.
