What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Manager IV - High Voltage Energy Cables position at TE Connectivity?
TE Connectivity’s Product Management team is essential to focus on strategy that equally balances long-term success with immediate business needs. This Product Manager will contribute to this important task and will be responsible for the High Voltage Cable Accessories segment in AMS. As this, you will align & drive a 5-year strategic roadmap with setting the right operational priorities as well as managing all aspects of the product lifecycle. The successful candidate will be vital in driving innovation, product development, and business expansion while maintaining focus on P&L goals and sales support for the Americas region.
Responsibilities
Strategy Development
- Develop and drive the HVCA product portfolio strategy for the AMS region, ensuring scalable, profitable and above-market growth and long-term financial success.
- Create product roadmaps and innovation strategies in collaboration with R&D,
- Work out efficient product supply strategies including stocking proposals according to market needs.
- Translate global trends and local insights into actionable strategies, with a focus on understanding customer needs and competition.
- Lead the development and execution of business plans, ensuring alignment across teams and geographies.
- Identify and support assessment of M&A target companies.
Operational Excellence
- Manage P&L for the responsible portfolio in AMS, focusing on revenue growth and gross margin expansion.
- Optimize product lines through rationalization and cost reduction programs.
- Perform financial analysis of the responsible product portfolio
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) aligns with broader organizational objectives.
- Compiles and presents regular reports on the performance of the product range against the relevant key performance metrics (revenue growth, margin, new product sales, etc.).
- Drive product acceptance and approval with all target customers
Market and Innovation Leadership
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscapes and portfolios, and customer feedback.
- Drive new product developments, automation, and sustainable practices.
- Identify and pursue business expansion opportunities, including FTAM expansion, M&A, and strategic partnerships.
- Facilitates market research to define the optimized pricing levels for the new product range.
- Obtains and coordinates market / customer requirements through VOC meetings.
What your background should look like:
- 3 years of experience in product management or business development.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business administration.
- Good understanding of the global energy market, with specific knowledge of power generation, distribution, and transmission.
- Knowledge in the high-voltage market is beneficial
- Entrepreneurship combined with strategic thinking
- Ability to work remotely with occasional travel (up to 20% in the LAM & NAM region).
- Location close to Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina is ideal
- Good communication skills (Spanish would be a plus)
- Experience working within an international matrix organization
- Applicants must be US based

- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $137,300 - 205,900 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
