    About the Role

    We have the opportunity available to join our Major Projects team as a Change Lead . You will work with our two projects to ensure they are sector ready, able, and willing to take on new processes and technologies. You will deliver proactive communications that bring wider stakeholder groups together. This will mean that you will :

    • Deliver and implement change processes in partnership with our project teams
    • Prepare our project communications to ensure that they are fit for purpose and support our people doing the work
    • Implement our project changes across local, regional and national public health functions
    • Partner with the sector to understand what help they need to adopt change
    • Support our team to help strengthen our solutions with sector insights
    • The Major Projects team within the Protection Directorate are leading two projects that aim to bring together and support health protection services across the new National Public Health Service. This involved refining and implementing our change plan to bring technology and health stakeholders on the journey to implement nationally planned, regionally delivered and locally tailored services.

      The National Public Health Service (NPHS) within Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora, work towards Pae Ora (healthy futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga / wellbeing, prevention, protection, and population-level intervention. We are connected across boundaries to deliver public health services that are nationally planned, regionally delivered and locally tailored.

      You can lead and coordinate change work. You're able to think, plan, and act in order to connect with people. You are a great communicator who brings people on the journey with you. You understand kawa and tikanga and have a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.       Skills and Experience

    • Change management experience supporting a project environment
    • Stakeholder engagement and communications planning and coordination, with strong writing skills
    • Self-managed, organised and driven to meet commitments and deliver results that matter
    • Ability to quickly build and maintain constructive and effective relationships
    • A willingness to adapt and lead in the change space
    • An understanding of change management methodologies and best practices, such as Prosci, ADKAR, or similar models
    • A passion for getting things done and bringing people together
