As an Early Childhood Education (ECE) Substitute with Teachers On Call (TOC) you will be working in licensed ECE centers across the Twin Cities Metro region. These centers will have infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms with students ranging in age from birth to five. Your primary role will be assisting in supervision, classroom activities, and daily routines. TOC substitutes have the ability to pick and choose their own substituting assignments online or by phone.
Minimum Requirements
Substitute Teachers $18.00-20.50/hr: Must have one of the following:
· B.A. degree in ECE or similar field and 1,040 hours of experience
· A.A. or CDA and 2,080 hours of experience
· A High School Diploma, 16 qualifying post-secondary credits, and 4,160 hours of Assistant Teacher experience
Substitute Assistant Teacher $17.00-18.00/hr: Must have one of the following -
· At least 8 qualifying post-secondary credits in Early Childhood development or related field, and 2,080 hours of experience
Substitute Aide $15.50-16.00/hr:
· High School Diploma or equivalent and no experience necessary

Minimum Requirements
Assistant Teacher: $15.50/hour
- No experience necessary
- Completed one non-credit department approved course in ECE (Intro to the Child Care Profession/EC1) or one course for credit in ECE or equivalent. Lead Teacher: $17.50/hour
- 320 hours of experience as an Assistant Teacher
- Must obtain Wisconsin Registry certificate within 3 months from DOH. A copy of an educator’s license issued by the DPI as a teacher may substitute for a certificate from The Registry (Level 3 or greater)
Must meet one of the following education requirements:
- 2 non-credit department-approved courses in ECE (reimbursed up to $90 after completing the course and working off 100 hours)
- 2 courses for credit in ECE or equivalent from a college/university
- 48 semester credits from a college/university with at least 3 credits in ECE or equivalent
- Associate degree in ECE or Child Care
- Bachelor’s degree in education or DPI teaching license
- Current CDA
4K Teacher: $19/hour:
- Tend to & protect children's physical, emotional & social needs, as well as routine care needs – feeding, napping, diapering
- Assume all duties & responsibilities of the absent teacher; ability to step in and lead the infant, toddler and/or preschool classroom
- Follow written lesson plans if available; consult with the Director and/or staff to resolve questions/concerns
- Comply with all building procedures & schedules
Qualifications:
Must hold a DPI elementary/regular education license that includes
Must also have a Registry Certificate prekindergarten or kindergarten
State mandated training certifications – CPR/AED, SUIDS, AHT, etc.
