Position Summary
The Training & Development College Aide will assist the Learning & Development Manager and other stakeholders in developing, implementing, and evaluating the organization's onboarding program and various other training initiatives. You will work closely with Human Resources and department managers to identify training needs, create engaging learning experiences, coordinate training programs, and track the effectiveness of these initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, an understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theories, and strong attention to detail when coordinating programs and creating schedules.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and designing engaging training materials and content that break down complex information into digestible resources.
- Collaborate and communicate with department managers and subject matter experts to identify training opportunities and create training courses that address these needs.
- Assist in coordinating onboarding and training program calendars, and schedules for employees and facilitators.
- Assist in creating and managing training program content and documentation in the LMS.
Qualifications
- Pursuing an undergraduate, or preferably a graduate degree, in Instructional Design, Learning Design, and/or Curriculum Design and Development.
- Experience developing, designing, and implementing training programs and/or curriculum.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills essential for collaborating with stakeholders to develop trainings.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple training projects and deadlines.
- Skilled at selecting the right instructional methods and strategies based on the content, audience, and desired outcomes.
- Strong ability to craft clear learning objectives and develop training materials aligned with those objectives.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, video conferencing tools (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, authoring tools (I.e. Articulate or Adobe Captivate) and LMS software (Knowledge of Docebo is a plus).

- Employment is conditioned upon continuance as a student in a college or graduate school.
- New York City residency is generally required. However, City Employees in certain titles who have worked for the City for 2 continuous years may also be eligible to reside in Nassau, Suffolk, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, or Orange County.
