Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Human Resources, this position works closely with leadership and employees, providing hands-on, strategic input, insight, and advice on people-related issues: talent management, employee relations, coaching/development, compensation, conflict management, organizational development, and training. Identifies, calculates, and analyzes HR metrics to drive organizational change/improvement. Plays an essential role in establishing and driving HR programs/talent initiatives forward, while ensuring they align with TRS business objectives.
Essential Functions
- Calculates, analyzes, and interprets various types of HR metrics (turnover, time to fill, employee engagement data, etc.) to advise and coach leaders on opportunities to enhance the employee experience at TRS.
- Develops people strategies and designs approaches for diagnosing and enhancing organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
- Acts as a change agent for the organization by aligning people strategy with business strategy, working with leaders on setting priorities, driving values, and delivering business results.
- Develops strong relationships with leaders in order to partner with them on a variety of issues; develops a deep understanding of the business and how HR assists in producing positive business outcomes.
- Develops a future-proof compensation and benefits strategy in conjunction with reward and recognition interventions to increase bottom-line results and employee engagement.
- Works in collaboration with TRS leadership and employees to resolve conflicts and help facilitate positive employee relations, maintains a good working environment, builds morale, and decreases unwanted turnover.
- Provides HR expertise in the areas of feedback, employee relations, development and coaching, compensation, and organizational development.
- Partners with leadership to develop and implement effective HR policies and practices that will support the strategic goals of TRS.
- Works with leaders on succession planning using tools such as 9-box to select and develop internal talent to ensure continuity in filling critical roles in the organization.
- Provides timely information and/or education for all levels of a company on HR issues.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assists HR Director on initiatives/projects
- Manages employee benefits by serving as Group Insurance Representative and SERS retirement coordinator for SERS members.
- Assists with internal and external department audits.
- Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field is required. Master’s Degree preferred.
- Five (5) years of experience in Human Resources required with experience in developing, analyzing, and trending HR metrics to drive organizational change.
Preferred Qualifications
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred

Salary : $90,044 - $115,256
