West Monona Elementary School is seeking an Elementary/Middle School Art Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. They must have an understanding of the learning process and specific knowledge of the physical, social, emotional, and academic development of elementary students. Additionally, the candidate must demonstrate effective classroom management skills by fostering positive and strong relationships with students and families. The ability to differentiate instruction and assessment to meet the needs of all learners is essential.

Education and Related Experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid Iowa teaching license or the ability to obtain the required certification or Class B license by the district’s start date

- Strong oral and written communication skills

- Provide a safe, supportive, and respectful classroom environment for all students
- Collaborate with grade-level, subject-area, and building teachers to enhance learning opportunities
- Develop and utilize curriculum and essential standards to meet student learning goals
- Maintain open and respectful communication with families, co-workers, supervisors, and school staff
- Prepare and deliver engaging and creative art lessons with fidelity
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
