Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Spanish language and culture to students in grades 9–12, including beginner to advanced levels.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and school curriculum.
- Create an inclusive and positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Assess student progress through a variety of methods, including quizzes, projects, presentations, and exams.
- Provide individualized support and feedback to students, helping them improve their language skills.
- Participate in departmental meetings, faculty meetings, and school events.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall academic experience and promote cross-curricular connections.
- Maintain communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and behavior.
Qualifications:
- Iowa Teaching certification in Spanish.
- Strong understanding of Spanish grammar, vocabulary, and cultural nuances.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
