Essential Functions:
Under the general supervision of the building principal, the Administrative Assistant promotes a positive image of the school and district through interactions with all stakeholders, assists the building principal with the
general operations of the Main Office and building, and performs the following responsibilities and duties including any other duties as assigned:
- • Process incoming correspondence: written, phone, and other forms of incoming information.
• Maintain all building data systems, confidential records, and student cumulative records.
• Compile given information and assist with the design, production, and dissemination of school-related
news and/or information.
• Maintain and process leave forms and leave records for all building staff.
• Prepare for and assist in yearly registration per District standards.
• Assist the principal with necessary budgetary needs.
• Assist in contacting of substitutes as needed for certified and classified personnel.
• Maintain an up-to-date record of current student enrollment and classroom assignments.
• Assist with the Food Service program in the building as needed.
• Assist when needed in the absence of school medical staff such as medication med dispersal.
• Assist in problem solving, project planning, development and execution of stated goals and objectives,
and confidential duties as assigned by the building principal.
• Perform technology needs in areas of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Publisher, Microsoft Outlook
and Infinite Campus.
• Work with other district administrative assistants and secretaries to cooperatively complete tasks and
projects.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
• Prior experience in general office functions and/or activities/athletics preferred.
• Basic knowledge and functionality in various communication and computer platforms including online
navigation, word processing, and spreadsheet programs.
• Ability to learn new skills as and adjust to change as needed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates strong organizational and time management skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
