What are the responsibilities and job description for the Jr High Math Teacher position at TeachIowa?
Hudson Community School District is seeking a passionate and dedicated Junior High Math Teacher to join our team! This exciting opportunity involves teaching 7th and 8th grade math, and could include 8th grade algebra for candidates with the appropriate teaching endorsement. This position offers the chance to inspire and educate students, utilizing the Illustrative Mathematics (IM) curriculum with support from our experienced Math Instructional Coaches. We offer a supportive and collaborative work environment, full health benefits. Qualified candidates must hold (or working towards) a valid Iowa Teaching license in one of the following areas: K-8 Mathematics, 5-8 Mathematics, or 5-12 Mathematics. A passion for mathematics, a desire to share that passion with students, experience with or willingness to learn the Illustrative Mathematics curriculum, strong classroom management skills, and excellent communication and collaboration skills are also desired.
