West Fork Community School District is to hire Preschool/Special Education Teacher that will create a safe, nurturing environment for young children to promote their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. They plan age-appropriate lessons, assess progress, and support children’s learning through play and activities.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Plan and implement daily lessons and activities aligned with early childhood education standards.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Observe and assess children's progress, providing individualized support as needed.
- Promote social skills, emotional development, and positive behavior.
- Communicate regularly with parents about children's progress and needs.
- Supervise children during playtime, snack time, and rest periods.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety of the classroom and play areas.
- Foster a positive and nurturing relationship with children and their families.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Education and Licensure:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education/Special Education
- Valid Iowa Teaching License
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of child development and early learning principles.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
