Join our team as a Field Construction Lead and take on a challenging role that requires strong leadership and technical skills. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction activities of site contractors during the Execution Phase and ensuring the safe and successful completion of projects.
About the Job:
The Field Construction Lead will play a critical role in championing worker safety programs, coordinating with subcontractors to maintain safety and quality practices, and preparing schedules for subcontractors. Additionally, the Field Construction Lead will assist in the planning, monitoring, and execution of field activities by a contractor, providing expert advice on upcoming challenges and maintaining good communications and relations with contractors.
Responsibilities:
- Lead cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
- Supervise contractor personnel and ensure all Safety Health and Environmental procedures and policies are followed
- Assist contractor in construction planning
- Serve as day-to-day interface with contractor and craft labor during the Construction Phase
- Provide safety monitoring/leadership
- Interface with QA/QC personnel to address quality issues/progress
- Provide oversight of contractor's materials management/verification systems
- Ensure compliance with specifications, procedures, and plans
- Monitor workforce productivity and progress relative to schedule
- Monitor environmental compliance, as required
- Interface with contractor for field level changes
- Verify post-site arrival of procured equipment and engineering equipment
- Provide on-site support for Work Management System (Permitting, JSA Reviews, LOTO, etc.)
- Support commissioning/systems completion as required
- C Coordinate Quality Audits and other site surveillance activities
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 10 years of site experience in all aspects of construction; Civil, Structural, Mechanical/Piping, Scaffolding, Electrical and Instrumentation and Controls, Insulation/Painting, etc.
- Experience in Marine environment, Hot and Cold Taps, and Pile installation desired
- General computer skills and experience working with MS Outlook; PowerPoint, Word, Excel
- Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing
- Valid driver's License
- Familiarity with OSHA 1910 – Occupational Safety and Health Standard and OSHA 1926 Standards – Safety and Health Regulations for Construction
- MUST have Valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card or be able to obtain within 30 days of hiring
- Availability to work beyond 40 hrs. weekly
