Position Overview: The Executive Director will serve as the visionary and operational leader of the Team Armstead Foundation. This individual will oversee the Foundation’s programs, manage a dedicated team, develop strategic partnerships, and ensure compliance with all regulations. The Executive Director will be responsible for driving the Foundation’s mission forward while maintaining fiscal responsibility and delivering measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Lead the Foundation’s vision, strategy, and execution to achieve its mission.
- Identify opportunities to expand and enhance program offerings to meet the evolving needs of the community.
- Program Development and Management:
- Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of current and new programs.
- Ensure all programs align with the Foundation’s mission and deliver measurable impact.
- Team Leadership:
- Manage, support, and inspire a small team of staff members.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing work environment.
- Partnership Development:
- Cultivate relationships with local organizations, public officials, educational institutions, and corporations.
- Build strategic partnerships to leverage resources, enhance programs, and increase visibility.
- Compliance and Governance:
- Ensure adherence to all regulations regarding engagement with school-age children, including background checks, training, and reporting requirements.
- Maintain transparency and accountability in all Foundation operations.
- Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the Foundation’s budget.
- Oversee financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Seek and secure funding opportunities, including grants, donations, and sponsorships.
- Community Engagement:
- Act as the primary spokesperson for the Foundation, promoting its mission and achievements.
- Represent the Foundation at community events, meetings, and forums.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, education, public administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Proven experience in nonprofit leadership, program development, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of the East St. Louis community and its unique challenges and opportunities.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships.
- Exceptional organizational, financial management, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of regulations and best practices for working with school-age children.
- Passion for education and youth development.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
