• Build good relationships with drivers and customers
• Communicate clearly and quickly with drivers and customers to keep things running smoothly
• Coordinate with the Warehouse team to make sure trailers are ready for loading
• Schedule equipment maintenance and repairs with the Shop Manager
• Collaborate with team members from other departments to resolve operational problems
• Take turns handling after-hours calls every other week
• Help with other tasks to keep operations running smoothly

NHT Logistics is looking for a Dispatcher to ensure all trucks are scheduled and dispatched promptly and efficiently. We provide safe, reliable refrigerated transportation and cold storage services to companies and brokerages in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Our Ideal Dispatcher:

• Experience: Must have truck driving or dispatching and route planning experience to plan loads tactically one to three days in advance. A valid CDL is preferred.
• Computer Skills: Someone with intermediate computer skills who can create and manage spreadsheets and work on MS Office, email, and the Internet.
• Strong Communicator: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to handle challenging situations gracefully with understanding.
• Detail-oriented: Pays close attention to detail while managing tasks under pressure.
• Adaptable and Flexible: Thrives in changing environments and is willing to learn and implement new tools or software.
• Dependable and Trustworthy: Reliable, honest, disciplined, and has a strong work ethic.
• Respectful and Professional: Treats others with fairness, cultural sensitivity, and empathy, fostering a positive work environment.
• Even-Tempered and Personable: Maintains composure under stress and builds engaging relationships with colleagues and clients.
