Lead Behavioral Health Technician- Inpatient
Full-time, 3rd Shift 6p-6:30a, 3 shifts per week
The Inpatient Lead Behavioral Health Technician role is responsible for providing staff oversight and
support, working closely with individuals seeking treatment for mental health disorders and substance abuse issues, and providing operational support. The primary focus includes but is not limited to acting as the primary point of contact for the Behavioral Health Technician team, providing direct care support and
guidance to clients, assisting them in their recovery journey, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the treatment process, and assisting with operational duties as assigned.
Assist in providing direct support and accountability for the Behavioral Health Technician team.
Assist with facility management, including but not limited to working with other internal departments
for afterhours emergencies and other needs that may arise.Provide direct care to clients as they navigate treatment activities, including but not limited to
transportation between organizational sites and client appointments, facilitation of nutrition programs,
and providing excellent customer service.Provide direct support as clients navigate group therapy sessions, individual therapy sessions, and other treatment activities.
Monitor and document client's progress, behaviors, and responses to treatment interventions, if applicable.
Provide verbal de-escalation and assist in connecting clients to crisis intervention when necessary to ensure the safety of clients and staff.
Facilitate psychoeducational support on topics related to mental health, addiction recovery, coping skills, and relapse prevention.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including clinical and medical to coordinate care and ensure continuity of treatment.
Participate in multidisciplinary team communications regarding client progress, treatment goals, and discharge planning.
Assist in ensuring building cleanliness, inventory stock, and safety.
Adhere to ethical and legal standards in the provision of care, maintaining confidentiality and respecting client's rights and dignity at all times.
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED Required.
EXPERIENCE: Preferred 1 years of experience in the Behavioral Health or Medical Services Industry. Prefer experience with shift lead or supervisory work.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: CDCA preferred.
