Opportunity Overview
As a Silicon Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in managing RTL design for IP, focusing on FPGA builds and firmware support for the Xbox program. Collaborating with a team of experienced engineers, you’ll contribute to physical design tasks and play an integral part in advancing state-of-the-art FPGA environments.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for various physical design tasks at the block and sub-system levels.
- Perform synthesis, floor planning, placement and routing, CTS, physical verification, and IR/EM analysis.
- Assist in developing and automating physical design flows.
- Identify and address library deficiencies within the technology and toolchain.
- Debug and support firmware teams through FPGA builds.
- Dedicate 30% of your time to coding, 30% to debug support, and 30% to environment planning, with the remaining time allocated to team meetings.
Qualifications/Experience
Required:
- 10 years of experience in physical design engineering.
- Expertise in floor planning, placement and routing, and physical verification.
- Verilog/System Verilog and Python scripting experience.
- Proven success in creating FPGA environments from scratch.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred:
- Team lead experience.
- Tape-out experience on complex tasks.
