We are seeking an Optimization Engineer with expertise in setting up and managing experiments on platforms like VWO and Optimizely. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of experiment design, statistical analysis, and research methods. You will be responsible for optimizing user experiences through data-driven decisions and helping teams improve their product and web performance based on insights gained from rigorous testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage A/B and multivariate tests using platforms such as VWO, Optimizely, or similar.
- Collect and analyze data from experiments, providing actionable insights based on statistical significance and relevant KPIs.
- Collaborate with UX, product, and engineering teams to develop hypotheses based on user behavior and product goals.
- Ensure experiments are grounded in sound statistical practices, including understanding sample sizes, p-values, and confidence intervals.
- Maintain thorough documentation of test hypotheses, methods, and results, including post-test reporting.
- Apply research methodologies and best practices to ensure the reliability and validity of results.
- Work closely with product managers, marketers, engineers, and other stakeholders to align testing goals with business objectives.
- Recommend strategies for continuous optimization based on test results and user feedback.
- Stay updated with the latest features and updates of testing platforms like VWO, Optimizely, and others, optimizing the use of these tools for maximum efficiency.
- Use light coding skills in JavaScript and CSS to implement custom test variations or make minor adjustments to experiments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Psychology, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience with A/B and multivariate testing platforms like VWO, Optimizely, or similar.
- Basic understanding of statistical concepts and research methodologies (e.g., significance testing, regression analysis).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI designers, product managers, and engineers.
- Knowledge of web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) is a plus.
- Experience operating under the restrictions related to PHI and PII data.
- Ability to communicate complex data insights in a clear and actionable manner.
- Attention to detail and a passion for data-driven decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in UX optimization or conversion rate optimization (CRO).
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Understanding of customer journey mapping and user behavior analysis
