Position: Closing Agent (Contract)
Compensation:
- $150 per file for closer duties, plus $100 for collecting signatures.
- First month: Paid hourly to ensure seamless onboarding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service Excellence: Provide prompt, professional, and thorough assistance to clients via email and phone, addressing inquiries and ensuring clients are informed throughout the process.
- Scheduling Closings: Coordinate closing appointments with buyers, sellers, and borrowers to maintain a smooth workflow.
- Document Preparation: Draft and review title documents required for closings with precision and attention to detail.
- Financial Reconciliation: Accurately balance closing disclosures, calculate tax and HOA prorations, and finalize figures for client review.
- Compliance: Review lender documents to ensure adherence to legal and financial requirements.
- Notarization: Notarize critical documents during closings, guiding clients through the process with professionalism.
- File Disbursement: Obtain lender and accounting authorization to disburse files and ensure timely scanning, shipping, and delivery of post-closing documents.
- Volume Management: Handle 30-50 closings monthly with the support of a dedicated processing and post-closing team.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in real estate or legal industries, preferably in real estate title.
- Strong proficiency in Qualia is strongly preferred.
- TN and GA notary certification is a plus.
- Comfortable with technology, phones, and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel to closing locations in Chattanooga, TN and Trenton, GA as needed.
- Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail, proofreading expertise, and ability to thrive in a high-stress, fast-paced legal environment.
- Strong knowledge of title and legal real estate procedures.
