What are the responsibilities and job description for the Crisis Transportation Driver (weekends) position at Team Wellness Center?
Crisis Transportation Driver! Team Wellness Center (TWC) is seeking a chauffeur licensed driver to provide transportation within the community as part of the Crisis Addiction Response Team (CART) program. The CART program dispatches a mobile outreach team to emergency departments at area hospitals to support individuals during a mental health or opioid related crisis. Individuals that have presented at a local ER for substance abuse and/or mental health care, are referred to TWC by the releasing physician. To avoid releasing the member back to the streets where the chance of recidivism within a short period is highly likely, TWC picks the individual up, brings them to our Crisis Stabilization Unit where the team assists them as needed. TWC works with the hospital to ensure that the individual is getting the continuous care in an outpatient setting to reduce the likelihood of a going back to the ER. The Crisis Transportation Driver will provide transportation within the community and will primarily be working with adults. During periods when transportation services are not required, the Crisis Transportation Driver will also assist in the unit with tasks such as admissions, discharges, rounds, and other duties as needed."
