Job Description Overview:
The Patient Services Representative serves as a liaison between the patient, client hospitals, and TeamHealth Divisions to resolve complex issues. Key Responsibilities:
  • Resolve and research patient complaints, suspend and unsuspend accounts as instructed.
  • Research hospital complaints regarding billing and charges.
  • Research accounts on the system, request charts as needed.
  • Submit researched accounts for review.
  • Forward complaints requiring clinical review.
  • Adjust accounts after review and approval.
  • Correspond with collection agencies to resolve billing issues.
  • Communicate with clients and follow up on complaints.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Six months medical billing experience preferred.
  • IDX-BAR experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
