Join us.This position is hybrid with three days per week in the Brentwood TN office.OVERVIEW : The Vice President of Finance will assist the Directors of Finance and SVP, Financial Operations in providing oversight and financial leadership for the reporting, projection, budgeting and other reporting processes integral to the anesthesia service line. The VP Finance will oversee the internal controls for the anesthesia department and will ensure that clinician costs are properly captured and financially reported. The VP will also work with regional and operational leadership to develop strategic reporting required to effectively communicate financial performance. Additionally, important to the success of this role is having the ability to foster strong connections with clinical and operational leaders.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Aids in the development, implementation and follow-up of financial and operational initiatives. Specific focus to include but not limited to employed clinician compensation and locums spendImplement and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial recordsParticipate in the financial projection, budgeting, and long-term financial planning processesPartner with IT in the creation of standard data requests to allow for analysis of existing business as well as potential business opportunitiesResponsible for creating, maintaining and deploying standard reporting using service line and enterprise toolsWorks closely with business,operations units and the finance team to understand and meet reporting and information needsDevelops, presents ideas, and makes recommendations to leadership about collecting relevant data, and analyzing dataAnalyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, providing actionable insights to senior managementUnderstands underlying business operations, data, data capture processes, and system integration to ensure that analyses and reports are correctly advising the organization, and accounts for data and / or workflow limitationsLead and manages accounting and finance staff, this includes but is not limited to : hiring, training, motivating, assigning / delegating work, performance evaluations, discipline, termination, and other related supervisory activities to ensure the preparation and distribution of the company's payroll meets established schedulesMaintains knowledge of Payroll systems to achieve alignment with HR / Benefits, Information Technology and other related departments to ensure effective accounting support and optimized process improvementIdentifies and trouble-shoots problems within the Human Resources / Payroll information systems, initiates follow-up to ensure appropriate corrections are madeOther duties as assignedJob RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCES. / B.A. in Accounting / Finance, or related fieldTen (10) years of finance / accounting experience, with five (5) years management experienceExcellent use of Emotional Intelligence (EI)Healthcare experience is requiredExcellent analytical and critical thinking Excellent judgment / decision making skillsProficient in Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, PowerPointExcellent communication skills (verbal and written)Ability to manage and direct othersAbility to handle stress and conflictAbility to adapt to change
