Learning & Event Technology Specialist III (LETS III) focused on AV / IT field engineering including advanced installation, system commissioning, AV networking and repair responsibilities. Expertise with technology from the following manufacturers preferred : Crestron (programming, VC4), Q-SYS, Shure, BiAmp, Logitech, Poly / HP.
LETS supports all AV / IT related services across the Boston campus including AV installation, repair and maintenance and design of new systems. Other staff in the group also support meetings, events and the teaching and learning mission of the college by providing best-in-class support to the faculty and students in their use of classroom technology.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Technology Specialist III will assist with AV / IT installation, repair and maintenance of spaces running Crestron systems in-room and through virtual control (VC4).
- While all staff on the team are trained to do Tier I repair and assist with system installations when needed, the ideal candidate for this position would bring deeper Tier II / Tier III experience.
- Many of the design projects are coordinated with external AV integration partners except for digital signage and flat panel installations, which are often handled in-house.
- Experience in commissioning systems and working alongside integrators, facilities staff and trades would be helpful.
- This onsite position entails working occasional evenings as needed for uninterrupted access to classrooms and other spaces for diagnostics and repairs.
- May entail limited weekend / holiday work.
