We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join our team as counselors at Teamworks Adventure Camp in Westford, MA this summer! As a Camp Counselor, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our campers while creating memorable experiences in a fun and safe environment. This is a rewarding position that requires a passion for working with children and a commitment to their well-being.
### Duties:
- Supervise and engage campers in various activities, including sports, arts and crafts, games, and team-building exercises
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers at all times
- Provide guidance and support to campers
- Promote positive behavior and social interaction
- Assist with meal time by helping with lunch if needed and monitor for dietary restrictions or allergies
- Collaborate with other camp staff to create a positive and inclusive camp environment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of camp facilities
Experience
- Experience in teaching, child care, babysitting and/or special education preferred
- First aid certification is highly desirable however we will train if you are not certified
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting
- Passion for working with children and creating a positive impact on their lives
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and handle challenging behaviors with patience and empathy
