Reports to : Athletic Director and / or Principal
Employment Status : Temporary based on annual contract. No benefits associated with this position.
FLSA Status : Non-Exempt
Description : The Field House Monitor will be responsible for maintaining security of the field house and overseeing field house activities during designated work hours.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure safety of students, taking all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities.
- Supervise all individuals that are in the field house during designated working hours.
- Offer assistance to any individuals using the facility.
- Sanitize, clean and organize all equipment and weights at the end of every shift.
- Pick up trash in all areas of the field house.
- Oversee security of the field house, ensuring that all doors are locked at the end of every shift.
- Report any issues or concerns to the Athletic Director.
- Assist any coaches or student athletes with help in using the facility as needed.
- Interact in a positive manner with staff, students, and parents.
- Promote good public relations by personal appearance, attitude, and conversation.
- Demonstrate sound judgement and emotional stability.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and work and communicate well with others.
