Job Summary:
Tech Group International is seeking an experienced Capital Project Engineer to lead our capital projects portfolio. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for engineering, capital planning, and project execution at our plant. Your role will focus on leading medium to large capital projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring project success.
- You will coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure overall project success.
- You will identify, recommend, and implement project management best practices using a stage-gate FEL framework and risk management techniques.
- You will provide supervision of project field construction work ensuring EHS excellence in all phases of work.
- You will champion and lead strong safety processes throughout every phase of the project ensuring compliance with client Best Practices/Policies, state, federal and local laws and regulations including plant Process Safety Management (PSM) and Management of Change (MOC) compliance.
- You will participate in Process Hazard Analysis and other PSM activities.
- You will provide direct technical support and inspection of various new equipment fabrication or refurbishment of existing equipment at the site or at the equipment manufacturing facilities.
- You will lead the execution of multiple projects of moderate to high complexity.
- You will coordinate and lead in Root Cause Analysis and Failure Analysis studies and recommendations.
- You will use project management framework to achieve technical project objectives delivered safely, on time, and on budget with realized operability and reliability results.
- You will regularly measure and monitor project progress to identify variances from the plan and works to make needed corrections.
- You will provide sponsor and stakeholders with a routine status of projects, actively communicating technical issues and risks, and ensuring that leadership alignment is a priority.
- You will ensure that projects meet the operability requirements laid out in the project objectives by the business.
- You will be accountable for achieving strategic and tactical metrics from internal and external benchmarking, which include safety, operability, cost, and schedule objectives.
