Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our network infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity and security across all systems. This role requires a strong understanding of networking principles, as well as hands-on experience with various network technologies and tools.
Duties
Manages the performance and profile of networked computer systems in support of programmatic activities. Provides technical assistance to computer system users. Assures computer system configurations conform to Institutional security requirements.
The semi-skilled level network systems technician has some relevant experience, training, or education. Must learn job skills and become familiar with Laboratory policies to complete assignments. Has good knowledge and limited experience using and applying technical principles, theories, and concepts. Assignments are relatively simple, but may require the application of basic skills related to the technical specialty. Responsible for developing solutions to routine technical problems of moderate scope and has minimal responsibility for end products. Instructions are specific and detailed, and work is closely supervised.
Education
Position typically requires a high school diploma and one-to-two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
