Job Details:
Position: Network Systems Technician (A/V)
Location: Los Alamos, NM, 87544 (Onsite)
Duration: 24 Months contract with possible extension
A-Level Access
Ability to get the Q-Clearance
Note: There will be a lot of walking and maybe standing but also time to take breaks and lunch. Depending on the day the person is out doing fieldwork and troubleshooting.
Summary
Manages the performance and profile of networked computer systems in support of programmatic activities. Provides technical assistance to computer system users.
Assures computer system configurations conform to Institutional security requirements.
The semi-skilled level network systems technician has some relevant experience, training, or education.
Must learn job skills and become familiar with Laboratory policies to complete assignments.
Has good knowledge and limited experience using and applying technical principles, theories, and concepts.
Assignments are relatively simple, but may require the application of basic skills related to the technical specialty.
Responsible for developing solutions to routine technical problems of moderate scope and has minimal responsibility for end products.
Instructions are specific and detailed, and work is closely supervised.
Required:
Some knowledge in AV equipment, set-up, troubleshooting and understanding of Video Teleconferencing
AV Setup and configuration
Great customer service skills
Great work ethics and respect for others.
Education
Position typically requires a high school diploma and one-to-two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $25.52 - $29.49 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
