Overview
The contractor will provide Quality Assurance (QA) services to ensure the integrity, security, and performance of enterprise web applications. The consultant will develop and execute comprehensive test plans—both automated and manual—and collaborate closely with development and business teams in an Agile environment.
Minimum Required Experience
- 10 years of experience developing and executing test scripts for web applications.
- 5 years of experience using automated testing tools/platforms.
- Experience with manual testing methodologies.
- Proficient in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Proven collaboration with business analysts and development teams.
Preferred Experience and Skills
- Hands-on experience with Tricentis Tosca, Worksoft, and/or Microfocus ALM.
- Familiarity with application security testing tools (e.g., WebInspect).
- Experience implementing new automated testing frameworks.
- Strong understanding of API testing.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and document complex IT solutions.
- Skilled in creating system documentation including test cases, technical specifications, and design flows.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
Education/Certifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Software Engineering, or a related field (required).
Key ResponsibilitiesTesting Activities
- Analyze application changes to develop comprehensive testing strategies.
- Define and document test scenarios, test cases, test data, and success criteria.
- Perform various levels of testing including:
- Functional Testing: Validate user-facing features and flows.
- Integration Testing: Verify interaction between components.
- Performance Testing: Identify responsiveness and bottlenecks.
- Security Testing: Assess authentication, authorization, and control mechanisms.
- Cross-browser Testing: Validate consistent behavior across supported browsers.
- Report and track defects with clear reproduction steps.
- Collaborate with developers for timely resolution of defects.
- Conduct regression testing to confirm stability post-deployment.
- Create detailed test reports summarizing execution results and quality assessments.
- Offer actionable recommendations to improve application quality.
