TMB, Inc has an exciting opportunity for a Surface Electronics Combat Systems Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide support to Team Ships Front Office (TSFO).
Responsibilities
- The contractor shall provide on-demand timely professional support services to the Flag Officer, Executive Director and Chief of Staff for the DIRECTOR, SURFACE SHIP MAINTENANCE, MODERNIZATION & SUSTAINMENT (SEA 21). The requirement is for a proven Surface Electronics/ Combat Systems Subject Matter Expert (SME) who possesses strong analytics and strategic thinking skills.
- This contractor shall be considered a Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, Intelligence and Cyber (C5I) SME.
- The contractor shall have technical leadership and management experience within Combat Systems, Operations, or Weapons Departments both afloat and ashore across multiple warfare enterprises.
- An SME capable of providing SEA 21 Leadership with knowledge management, strategic planning, brief development, action tracking, and communication support to include messaging, configuration control, database management, and proactive thinking.
- The contractor will proactively and re-actively respond short and long-term tasking from SEA 21 Leadership, coordinating as necessary with stakeholders, to provide quality on time products to include communication strategies, briefs, point papers, and analysis.
- Will work strategic initiatives to assess SEA 21 data and metrics to make recommendations on gathering, filing, controlling, and maintaining data for rapid use.
- The scope includes developing strategic initiatives that focus on improved business practices as well as improved data utilization, messaging and tasker responses, and technical/program execution processes.
Qualifications
- Must be a United States citizen.
- Must have an active DOD Secret security clearance.
- Must have been a US Navy CWO/LDO in the Electronics/ Combat Systems field.
- Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent U.S. military service experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with proven ability to communicate effectively with senior military and civilian leadership (i.e.: Flag level and SES Level).
- Proactive and excellent customer service with management experience.
- Be creative, poised, and flexible.
- Proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Outstanding verbal and written communications skills.
- Proven ability to prioritize rapidly changing tasks and assignments.
- Ability to work well both independently and in teams.
- Ability to work productively remotely.
- Ability to perform frequent internal and external customer interface including regularly scheduled and ad hoc meetings.
- Ability to travel reasonable distances (up to ½ mile one way) to meet with customers or other company personnel in the execution of job functions.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds in order to carry a laptop, notebooks, papers, binders and other tools and equipment required in the execution of job functions.
