What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welding Inspector /Quality Control position at Tech matrix Inc.?
RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES:
- Firm knowledge and understanding of ASME B 31.3
- Understanding welding symbols, tolerance, defects
- Interpreting radiographic film of weld joints/roots
- Experience with and ability to maintain ISO 9001 certified system (company rep)
- Ability to perform visual inspections and hydro
- Annual calibration log/record upkeeping
- Weekly meeting and review with our 3 rd Party A.I. (Authorized Inspector from HSB)
- Creating and tracking weld maps
- Understanding and firm knowledge of weld specs
- Annual review with HSB (Hartford Steam Boiler) to stay ASME certified
Summary
As a Welder/Quality Control professional, you will be integral to ensuring high-quality fabrication and welding processes that meet ISO 9001 and ASME codes and standards. Your core skills in blueprint reading, hand tools, and various welding techniques, including MIG and TIG, will be essential in executing precise welds and inspections. You will also leverage your premium skills in crane operation and calipers, alongside relevant skills in rigging and mechanical knowledge, to maintain safety and efficiency on construction sites. Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

- Quality inspection: 1 year (Preferred)
- Calibration: 1 year (Preferred)
- ASME codes & standards: 1 year (Preferred)
- Vision inspection system: 1 year (Preferred)
