Duration : 12 month contract with high possibility for extension

Work schedule : 4 / 40 (10-hour days, Monday–Thursday)
Work shift ranges from 6 : 30 AM to 6 : 00 PM.
Required to drive a personal vehicle approximately 75% of the time and does not reimburse temporary contractors for mileage
Description
The DCS Tech installs, configures, tests, maintains, and repairs analog, digital, and Internet-based communications systems.
This includes telephone systems (such as PBX, VoIP, and cloud services like MS Teams, WebEx, and Zoom), cabling (copper and fiber-optic), servers, modems, and related equipment.
Working under supervision and with guidance from senior technicians or engineers, the role involves troubleshooting issues, coordinating with vendors, and supporting equipment moves and upgrades.
The job also requires physical tasks such as lifting equipment and using ladders.
Skills Required
Knowledge of the protocols, procedures, techniques, and equipment used to install, configure, test, maintain, and repair telephone and Internet-based digital communications systems, private branch exchange (PBX) and key switching systems, Cloud Services, and related equipment.
Understanding of network telecommunications circuits and data communications equipment such as modems.
Ability to troubleshoot circuits, systems, infrastructure, and equipment.
Experience Required
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the installation, configuration, testing, maintenance, and repair of digital telephone private branch exchange (PBX) and key switching systems.
At least one (1) year of experience at the journey level.
Experience Preferred
Experience with NEC PBX systems.
Experience with Nortel Norstar Key phone system (MICS, CallPilot, Trunk / station modules, RAD).
Experience with VOIP products (Cisco, Microsoft Teams Voice).
Education Required
High school diploma or GED certificate.
Valid Class C driver’s license with no restrictions.
