Job Title: CENTRAL ISSUE FACILITY (CIF) SUPERVISOR JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Central Issue Facility Supervisor. As the CIF Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the operations of our central issue facility, ensuring the efficient and effective distribution of equipment, supplies, and materials to our organization and unit personnel. Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the day-to-day operations of the CIF, including inventory control, equipment accountability, and distribution processes.
2. Supervise a team of personnel involved in receiving, inspecting, cataloging, and issuing equipment and supplies.
3. Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize efficiency and ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
4. Coordinate with various departments and units to identify equipment and supply needs and facilitate timely distribution.
5. Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, equipment transactions, and repairs/replacements.
6. Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify inventory accuracy and compliance with safety and security protocols.
7. Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to forecast demand and ensure timely replenishment of stock.
8. Provide training and guidance to staff on proper handling, storage and distribution procedures.
9. Monitor and analyze performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective measures as needed.
Qualification and Skills:
§ Must be a US Citizen
§ Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field (equivalent experience will be considered) is preferred.
§ Must be able to obtain a favorable pre-employment/random/post-accident drug result. DILUTE is not favorable.
§ Must possess a Valid Driver’s License.
§ Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or a similar role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
§ Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, procurement processes, and supply chain best practices.
§ Familiarity with military or government central issue facility operations is required.
§ Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
§ Proficiency in using inventory management systems and software.
§ Strong leadership abilities, with the capability to motivate and guide a diverse team effectively.
§ Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation.
§ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
§ Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and make sound decisions under pressure.
Schedule
§ Operation Hours: 7:00 am - 4:00 pm
§ Work Week: Monday thru Friday
§ Approved Overtime hours will vary
