About the Role
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to help oversee the day-to-day operations of a 200 unit residential community. The ideal candidate will support the Property Manager in leasing, resident relations, financial management, and maintenance coordination while ensuring a high level of service and satisfaction for residents.
Key ResponsibilitiesLeasing & Resident Relations
- Assist with leasing efforts, including conducting tours, handling inquiries, and processing applications.
- Manage lease renewals, move-ins, and move-outs efficiently.
- Address resident concerns, inquiries, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Facilitate community engagement activities and events to enhance resident satisfaction.
Financial & Administrative Duties
- Collect rent, process payments, and handle delinquent accounts in compliance with company policies.
- Assist in preparing financial reports, budgets, and occupancy tracking.
- Maintain accurate resident records, lease files, and property documentation.
- Process invoices, monitor expenses, and ensure proper financial documentation.
Property Maintenance & Compliance
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to schedule repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance.
- Conduct routine property inspections to ensure compliance with safety and cleanliness standards.
- Communicate with vendors and contractors to ensure timely service and property upkeep.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal housing regulations.
Marketing & Community Engagement
- Support marketing initiatives to attract and retain residents.
- Assist with social media, resident newsletters, and community event planning.
- Monitor market trends and competitor properties to maintain competitive rental rates.
Qualifications & Skills
- 2 years of experience in property management, leasing, or real estate.
- Strong knowledge of Fair Housing laws and property management regulations.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Proficiency in property management software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio, Rent Manager).
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and handle high-pressure situations effectively.
- Experience in handling financial transactions, rent collection, and budgeting.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $18.73 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
