CPA License Must be Active in NEW YORK STATE

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree - Accounting
CPA License (New York State)
10 years of recent CPA firm experience
Proficient in QuickBooks and Ultra Tax
Excellent understanding of accounting and reporting standards
Experience in researching as it relates to accounting and audit issues
Some tax preparation experience is a plus but not required
Experience with CCH ProSystem Fx Engagement
Experience with PPC SMART Practice Aids

Key Responsibilities

Carry out a range of assurance services, including financial reviews, compilations, and audits across diverse sectors.
Manage daily engagement tasks-from initial planning through to final wrap-up-such as drafting engagement documents, reconciling accounts, and verifying financial transactions.
Produce and interpret financial reports, while assessing systems and processes for internal control effectiveness.
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, fostering strong working relationships and ensuring clear, professional communication.
Complete tax filings for business entities operating in a variety of industries.
Create detailed variance analyses to support financial reporting and decision-making.
