Network Engineer -Mid
Norfolk, VA
We’re looking for a hands-on Network Engineer to join our team supporting a high-impact DoD mission. You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment, helping to keep networks running smoothly for special operations units.
What You’ll Do:
• Build, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure (Cisco gear, VMs, VLANs, firewalls, etc.).
• Handle WAN connections, VPNs, and physical network security.
• Support users and systems (Tier 1–2 support), resolve network issues, and keep things secure.
• Document work, follow security protocols (STIG/RMF), and collaborate with other tech teams.
• Work with tools like VCenter, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office to manage tasks and workflows.
What You Bring:
• U.S. Citizen with active Secret clearance (or interim) — must be eligible for T5.
• Security CE cert (required).
• 5 years in IT/networking, especially in defense or logistics environments.
• Strong with Cisco hardware, TCP/IP, VPNs, and general network security.
• Comfortable working with both techies and non-techies — solid communicator and problem solver.
Bonus Points:
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Extra certs like CCNA, CCNP, CISSP.
