Talent Acquisition / Recruiting Coordinator
6 Month Contract
Hybrid - (3 days in office/ 2 days remote)
Newport News, VA
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Recruiting Coordinator to support our Recruiting team and work closely with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) and hiring managers. In this role, you will be an essential part of the recruitment process, managing candidate pipelines, posting job openings, coordinating offers, and providing administrative support to ensure the team meets its hiring objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requisition Management: Assist in opening requisitions and posting jobs internally and externally.
- Candidate Coordination: Manage the flow of candidates through the recruiting process using our Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Offer Management: Prepare, send, and track offer letters for hiring managers, and process accepted offers to move candidates through to pre-employment screening.
- Timely Follow-up: Ensure timely follow-up with candidates and hiring managers throughout the recruiting process, maintaining high attention to detail and thoroughness.
- Proactive Problem Solving: Anticipate challenges in the recruitment process and proactively address potential issues, making quick, well-informed decisions.
- Project Participation: Contribute to operational projects aimed at improving recruitment processes and achieving team goals.
- Administrative Support: Provide additional support to the recruiting team as business needs arise.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: High School Diploma required; Associate's degree preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience in HR, Recruiting, or Staffing Agencies as a Talent Acquisition or Recruiting Coordinator is preferred.
- Technical Skills:Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Teams).
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) is highly desirable; experience with Workday is a plus.
- Familiarity with Smartsheet or similar ticketing systems is a plus.
- Customer Service Orientation: Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Confidentiality & Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage confidential information with care.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, balancing multiple priorities and adjusting to changes quickly.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and telephone communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships across various levels of the organization.
- Professionalism: Exhibits a high level of professionalism in virtual and onsite meetings with stakeholders, maintaining poise and patience, particularly when interacting with management at all levels.
- Team Player: Collaborative, eager to contribute to team success while also able to work independently as needed.
