About the role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Sales Executive with a hunter mentality, to drive new business development and close sales within the Small to Mid-Market Business (SMB) sector. This individual will focus on prospecting and securing new logos, selling data, AI, software applications and cloud-based services to companies.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in new business acquisition, robust network of industry connects and understanding of Data, AI, software development and cloud technologies. This role requires an individual who is self-motivated, thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about creating long-term relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities in the SMB sector, companies with $50M to $1B in revenue.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive new logo acquisition and expand our customer base.
  • Knowledge of AI, software development and cloud solutions to educate potential clients on how these technologies can transform their business operations.
  • Knowledge of IT consulting services industry.
  • Build and nurture a strong network of decision-makers and influencers across multiple industries.
  • Engage with C-level executives, IT decision-makers, and business leaders to understand their needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
  • Lead the entire sales cycle from prospecting and qualification to negotiation and closing.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the successful delivery of solutions and maintain high customer satisfaction post-sale.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasting and pipeline management in CRM (Salesforce or similar).
  • Continuously stay updated on AI, cloud technologies, and industry trends to remain a trusted advisor to clients.

 

Requirements:

  • Prior experience selling IT services (AI, software, data, or cloud) is required
  • 10 years of proven sales experience, ideally in new business development, with a focus on Data, AI, software and cloud solutions.
  • A strong network of business relationships within the SMB sector is highly preferred.
  • Understanding of AI, software and cloud technologies and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets, especially in a hunter role focused on new business acquisition.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Self-starter with a high level of initiative, drive, and resilience.
  • Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce etc.) to manage pipeline and track performance.
  • Ability to travel locally and nationally as needed to meet clients.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Previous experience of selling services in Data, AI, Software Applications and cloud-based solutions, particularly in the SMB market is required.
