Job Description:
Technical Equipment Sales, Inc. (TES) is a privately-owned company based in Tracy, CA and is a leading supplier of HEPA and PTFE supplies and systems. Founded in 1986, TES is committed to providing imaginative and cost-effective solutions to micro-contamination and static control issues in the semiconductor, biopharma, medical device, and memory optical industries both locally and worldwide. Using a consultative approach, we understand the critical parameters of cleanroom design including particle and AMC filtration, ionization, static control, lighting, air quality and monitoring to provide our customers with the best viable solutions.
The Junior Sales Engineer will first familiarize themselves with TES’ extensive product lines and the manufacturing equipment that our products support. The candidate will primarily be responsible for communicating customers’ technical engineering requirements with supplier engineering departments and supporting business development activities with customers. The candidate must have a technical background and must be able to understand and articulate technical engineering concepts to engineering departments and to customers. The job requires initiative-taking candidates with good agility, excellent communication skills and, most importantly, a willingness to learn.
- Support in the development of new products and the expansion of TES product lines
- Understand the different systems that TES supports and assist in the development of potential enhancements.
- Function as a technical sales lead with assigned and potential customers.
- Coordinate business development activities with all design-engineering activities,
- Study new products and capabilities to prepare introductory material for customers.
- Travel to customer sites to introduce new products and provide customer support.
- Provide technical demonstrations for customers and provide their feedback to the supplier engineering teams.
- Educate and train customers in product installation and application.
- Develop business relationships by promoting Technical Equipment Sales, Inc image, product portfolio and application solutions to assigned and potential customers.
- Prioritize and manage customer requests.
- Bachelor’s degree in science-related field required.
- 3 years of direct experience in the Semiconductor industry or Engineering is preferred but not required.
- The ability to read mechanical drawings is required.
- Willingness to travel (15-20%)
- Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in teams.
- Familiar with CRM software.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
