Motivated, dependable, and safe Operations Coordinator in Greenville, SC. This is a supervisory and multi-function position that requires the team members to work accurately and efficiently. Must be motivated and willing to train and lead in other team members.
Operations Support Specialist
Greenville, SC
The Operations Support Specialist is a supervisory, multi-function position responsible for the following.
Operations Support
- Report to the Greenville location each workday and be sure it is staffed appropriately.
- Handle all call-offs and staff requests.
- Responsible for confirming that the team is meeting the customer's daily goals.
- Monitor issues and take action to correct them.
- Complete daily schedule and communicate it to the drivers.
- Communicate with drivers calling in for a schedule.
- Input information into the Days Worked worksheet that is used for MAP Awards.
- Complete the Status Report daily and TPG Info on Test daily in the absence of the General Manager.
- Monitor the clock rings in the Sage Time to be sure that clock rings are correct. in the absence of the General Manager.
Training
- First day contact for all new employees and conduct driver orientation and training.
- Oversee and verify that all employee training is being administered, completed, and documented.
- Responsible for keeping all files up to date for future audits.
Recruiting
- Recruiting responsibility includes sourcing, qualifying, processing and placing qualified individuals as TPG employees for local openings and other locations as needed.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Networking with local recruitment sources, i.e., SC Works, Veterans programs, local automotive technical schools, etc.
- Conduct job fairs onsite and locally
- Interviewing - phone, video and in person
- Candidate qualifying and screening
- Resume reviews and interview preparation
- Employment terms negotiation
- Candidate pre-employment onboarding processing
- Candidate and position database management
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Safety:
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of driving experience and have a clean motor vehicle record (past 5 years)
- Proven record of safe driving and can display safe driving behavior. Safe operation of test vehicles, following all driving laws
- Some standing, walking, and lifting through the shift.
- Good close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Interpersonal and Previous Experience:
- Must have previous experience.
- 2 years of supervisory experience
- Able to work cooperatively in a diverse & challenging environment
- Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
- Strong computer skills, must be proficient with Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Flexible and receptive to new requests
Education:
- High School diploma or GED. Some college preferred.
