Lead Process Engineer – Job Description
Location: Houston Office

The Lead Process Engineer is proficient in all process engineering activities related to executing grassroots or revamp engineering projects for LNG production facilities, including utilities, liquefaction, and pre-treatment.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The candidate should be capable of leading work on large and medium-sized projects or areas within larger projects and must be well-versed in applicable industry-standard design codes. Has administrative and technical responsibility for engineering. Responsible for leading other engineers to perform process modeling, develop heat and material balances, utility balances, process flow diagrams (PFD), process safeguarding flow diagrams (PSFD), Safe Chart, and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), system design parameters, and design or rating of equipment such as vessels, towers, exchangers, pumps, etc. Responsibility includes developing process simulation models and advanced controls/process optimization for parts or units of the total plant using programs such as Hysys/Unisim. Capable of performing process studies to include Process Optimization Study to confirm/optimize the oil processing Configuration, Flare, Relief, Blowdown/Depressurizing, Vent system Design, Cooling Medium Study, Heating Medium Study, utility system sizing, Condensate Handling Study, Management of Produced Solids Report, sand handling and Produced Water Treatment Study. Participate in safety reviews, including HAZOP/HAZID studies and process safety assessment.
He or she will be called upon to provide technical guidance on complex issues requiring independent analysis or judgment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience executing and leading LNG FEED projects.
- Proficiency in process engineering software tools, such as HYSYS, Aspen Plus, and PipeSim, for process simulation and analysis.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Most of their experience is with a major EPC company and not at a production facility.
- Although not a requirement, applicants for this position will usually be certified as Licensed/Chartered Professional Engineers.
- Requirements for this position include a bachelor's or master's degree in chemical engineering.
- Minimum of eight (7) years related experience, with an average of more than ten (10 ) years experience.
