POSITION SUMMARY
The Logistician II at Naval Surface Warfare Command Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) provides logistics management support for naval systems and equipment. This position coordinates and implements logistics activities, analyzes supply chain processes, and supports integrated logistics and lifecycle management operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Plan and coordinate logistics activities for naval systems and equipment
- Analyze logistics processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency
- Manage parts of supply chain operations, including inventory, transportation, and distribution
- Assist in developing and maintaining logistics documentation, including technical manuals and support plans
- Support the implementation of logistics policies and procedures
- Coordinate with project teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure logistics requirements are met
- Track equipment and parts availability and coordinate repairs and replacements
- Analyze logistics data to identify trends and potential issues
- Support integrated logistics planning and execution for assigned projects
- Assist in developing logistics budgets and monitoring expenditures
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field
Experience:
3 years of professional experience in integrated logistics support, preferably in a defense or naval environment
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of DoD/Navy logistics policies and procedures
- Experience with logistics planning, implementation, and coordination
- Proficiency in inventory management and supply chain operations
- Ability to analyze logistics processes and recommend improvements
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Navy ERP, SLDCADA, or other DoD logistics management systems
- Familiarity with Navy technical documentation requirements
- Knowledge of lifecycle management principles
- Experience with NSWC PCD systems and equipment
- Prior military logistics experience
- Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Logistics Level I certification
